  1. First aid

Made Oct 28, 2020, sent to the company Nov 5, 2020, published by CPSC Nov 20, 2020

The product, in the report: The dresser has 5 drawers the height of the dresser is 35”width 49”height 19”depth and is dark brown.

My husband bought a new TV and place it on our dresser in our bedroom. A few hours later we heard a crash. Our 4 year old son had climbed the dresser to reach the TV. The crash we heard was the dresser falling on top of him. The dresser had clothes in all 5 drawers mostly undergarments, the dresser is 35”width 49”height 19”depth. We bought this dresser at Bel Furniture. When my husband and I ran to see what the crash was we were horrified to see a broken TV and the dresser had fallen on top of my son. Our bed had broken the fall of the dresser from completely falling on top of my son and it left the dresser at a 50 degree angle. My son was shaken and he crawled from the space that was made from dresser falling. The drawers also had been fully opened and hit my son on his head. My husband and I were in shock that a dresser could fall while a TV was on top if it making it even heavier. We thought we had bought sturdy furniture. The dresser has no identifying marks as to the manufacture or maker.
