The product, in the report: Electric standing desk, height adjustable desk. Product label identifies it as Electric Standing Desk. The desk uses an included 29V DC power supply to power the lift controller. The failed component was the included AC DC wall power supply. The power supply sparked on first use and the desk would not power on. After unplugging and inspecting the power supply, the internal circuit board showed visible charring, soot, and apparent electrical arcing or thermal damage. Amazon listing model or part number is USMSESD202N-80A-US-57. Physical product label model is ESD01-80A. Physical product serial number is 01011302009220. Product label lists input as 29V DC 1A. Product label lists production date as 02-2026. Manufacturer date code appears to be 2026-02-10. The included power supply model is YHPWR K24R10290100.
After assembling a HUANUO 32” Small Electric Standing Desk purchased from Amazon, I plugged in the included AC/DC wall power supply for the first time. The power supply immediately sparked, and the desk would not power on or function.
The failed power supply is labeled YHPWR K24R10290100. After unplugging it, I inspected the power supply and found visible internal damage on the circuit board, including charring/soot and apparent electrical arcing or thermal damage. Photos of the damaged power supply circuit board are attached.
The desk itself appears to function when powered from an external 29V DC supply, so the failure appears to be with the included power supply rather than the desk frame or controller.
There were no injuries, but this appears to be a serious safety concern. A mains-powered adapter sparking and showing internal burn damage during first use could have created a fire or shock hazard, especially if it had remained plugged in or failed near combustible material.
The product was being used normally by an adult consumer during initial setup in a residence.
