The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: FlexiSpot Mobile Standing Desk with Wheels

I am filing this complaint regarding a FlexiSpot Mobile Standing Desk with Wheels (Order #[REDACTED]), which I purchased through Amazon. The product was advertised as an ergonomic and supportive workstation but instead caused serious wrist injuries and aggravated my existing medical conditions due to its sharp edges and defective design.

What Made Me Want to Report? I originally purchased the FlexiSpot Standing Desk to accommodate my disability and assist with my daily activities, including working on my nonprofit organization. However, shortly after using the product, I began experiencing severe wrist pain, inflammation, and discomfort. The sharp edges of the desk applied excessive pressure on my wrists, causing pain and possible nerve damage. I have a chronic medical condition (diabetes, magnesium deficiency, and a chest port for bi-weekly infusions), which makes proper ergonomic support crucial for my health.

After reaching out to FlexiSpot for a resolution, they initially offered to replace the product with the same defective design, which does not resolve the safety issue. When I requested a replacement that would accommodate my disability (such as a proper ergonomic chair or adjustable desk that would not cause further injury), FlexiSpot denied my request and refused to acknowledge the harm caused by their product.
