The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Delta Bentley 6 Drawer Double Dresser

I have discovered that the matching dresser to my crib, the “Delta Bentley 6 Drawer Double Dresser” has parts that break and may cause a choking hazard. The wheels that the drawers roll on appear to be very weak in the middle and the outsides of the wheel break off into two separate half-circle pieces that are small and sharp. I discovered this upon assembly. One wheel had broken during shipping, with the outside of the wheel separating into the sharp half circle pieces I mentioned, and the center of the another wheel is already cracked and the outside of the wheel seems ready to separate into the same sharp pieces.

Since this dresser is marketed as a matching set with a baby’s crib, and the wheels appear to be made out of a brittle plastic, and I am concerned that this wheels will break after receiving pressure from weight of the drawer and its the contents and that pieces could be ingested by a young child.

The manufacturer is sending me some replacement parts but said they are not aware of any defect of the wheel plastic. I would hope that you both could investigate whether this part should be replaced. I have both the parts and pictures if you would like to review.
