No one hurt Made Jul 24, 2011, published by CPSC Aug 15, 2011
The product, in the report: Bodilsen cherrywood desk. 35” ht x 30” wd x 22.5” deep with milky white glass top. I have photos of the broken glass if needed.
I purchased a 35” high cherrywood Bodilsen desk from Lowe’s Hardware 07-03-2005.
I came one one day to find that the glass top on the desk had disintegrated. There was glass on the floor, in the same room and the next room, and in the drawer of the desk.
The glass must have exploded as there was glass 18.5 feet from the desk and glass embedded in the laminate flooring by the desk.
No one was home at the time so fortunately no one was injured. Had someone been near the desk I believe there would have been serious injury.
