The reports, as CPSC published them
Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.
Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

No incident, no one hurt Made Jun 6, 2026, sent to the company Jun 24, 2026, published by CPSC Jul 10, 2026
The product, in the report: Multimedia DVD player I purchased on Amazon. Black color. I have attached photos that contain all of the information, including manufacturing sticker, Purchasing receipt, and a picture of the device.
My DVD player was making a lot of noise after I got home from being out of the house for a couple hours. I went over to check on it, and it was very warm to the touch, and was emitting a banging sound, presumably from the DVD spinner inside which seemed to be rapidly spinning without anything in it. I have not used my DVD player in over a year, but it was plugged in just sitting there on the TV stand. It would appear that it just sort of spontaneously began spinning and overheating. I worry about fire safety risks had I not unplugged it (as none of the buttons were working)
