The product, in the report: Hatch Rest+ 2nd Generation sound machine
Hatch Rest+ 2nd Generation sound machine spontaneously ignited and the housing melted while we were away from the house. This happened in our childs room, filling the room with smoke and setting off the smoke detector in the room. The sound machine was plugged in but off. Our child was not in the room when it happened, but this could have been catastrophic.

No incident, no one hurt Made Jul 10, 2024, sent to the company Jul 15, 2024, published by CPSC Jul 30, 2024
The product, in the report: Hatch sleep system power cord- Hatch Rest Baby Sound Machine, Night Light | 2nd Gen | Sleep Trainer, Time-to-Rise Alarm Clock, White Noise Soother, Music & Stories forNursery, Toddler & Kids Bedroom (Wi-Fi)
My gen 2 Hatch system had the same adapter that was included in the recall even though everything specifically states the recall is for gen 1 only. Hatch confirmed that the cord was indeed the recalled one and has sent a replacement. SO the Hatch recall should be expanded to other Hatch models and generations.

No incident, no one hurt Made May 15, 2021, sent to the company May 18, 2021, published by CPSC Jun 2, 2021
The product, in the report: Hatch sleep rest sound machine Model Rest
I put my 3 month old son down for a nap and turned on his hatch sound machine as I did every time he went to sleep. When I went to check on him I noticed the sound stopped working, the light was still on and I smelt something burning. I went to grab the sound machine to see what was going on and it was HOT! When I looked at the bottom on the sound machine the buttons were melting away and causing his nightstand to get so warm it would have started a fire if I checked on him any later.
