The product, in the report: Swimp3 made by Finis
Swimp3 player made by Finis allows you to listen to music while swimming The swimp3 player needs to plug in to your usb drive every few hours of use in order to recharge it or to add or delete music. When I plugged it in yesterday, I started to smell burning rubber about a half hour later. I touched the plastic connector and it burned my finger. It was very hot and the heat had melted the plastic insulation, exposing the raw wiring. I’m not aware of anything wrong with my usb port or computer that would cause this.
I imagine it would be quite dangerous if it was then worn in the pool, as intended, and turned on with the wiring exposed.
