The product, in the report: Samsung Series 8000 60” Plasma TV
Over the past couple days, our Samsung Plasma TV has turned itself off and on again at least once a day. This morning it turned itself off again but this time there was a loud series of popping noises (similar to fire crackers) and sparks coming from the backside of the unit. There was also a very thick and acrid smell of burnt electronics is the room. The TV was then basically off with the power indicator blinking. I then unplugged the unit from my surge protector to prevent any further damage to the unit or my house.
