The product, in the report: 50” Specptre LCD HDTV pin # X505BU part # HJ1L01 SW# serial C38X5058FC0026
Sceptre 50” LCD HDTV stand snapped in half causing TV to fall over. TV broken and if a baby or animal would have been on floor injury or death could have occurred. The stand came with TV and was 2 years and 2 months old. No one was around TV so this occurred on its own. I saw many complaints on an online complaint board reporting exact same problem plus others report smoke and sparks due to electrical arcing on circuit board. The company acts as if they have no knowledge of this defect and expect us to pay for repair of TV.
This is a DANGEROUS product. Again our stand broke in half causing TV to flop forward to ground.

The product, in the report: Sceptre X508BV-FHD 50-Inch 1080p 60Hz LCD HDTV (Black)
This tv has broke off the base several times and 3 times calling the company . since the first time it broke and they had the exact model and all the info and kept sending me a new base that doesn’t fit the model and they didn’t want the ones back. I gave up and had to drill a few extra wholes and the tv still isn’t stable 100% with also 4 kids in my house it is scary. The size alone and weight is very dangerous and with kids in the home 100% NOT safe. Also see the comment son amazon all having the same issue. http://www.amazon.com/review/R17UKXHWWIWXNM/ref=cm_cd_notf_message?ie=UTF8&cdForum=Fx3NBUM22QD6S2B&cdPage=1&cdThread=Tx3VI11S29V3TX3#Mx2NP6G76BGUXJL

The product, in the report: PIN X409BV-FHD8HJ1L01 S/N C 13x409BCC0300 Sceptre 40 Class LCD 1080p 60HZ HDTV, X409BV-FHD.
One morning in early October at around 2:00 AM there was a loud crash. When I went to inspect what had happened, there was the TV laying beside the TV stand with the base several feet away. Apparently the TV had broken off the base and gone crashing to the floor. It is a good thing this happened in the middle of the night. If someone had been at the TV stand selecting DVDs, they could have been severely hurt. PIN X409BV-FHD8HJ1L01/ S/N C 13x409BCC0300 Sceptre 40 Class LCD 1080p 60HZ HDTV, X409BV-FHD). I have to tell you I was really enjoying the TV and its picture
