The product, in the report: Tv stand built in with tv
The Television is a 42 inch plasma television set that comes with a built in glass panel TV stand.
While the consumer was located in another room she heard a loud explosion and when she went into the bedroom she noticed that glass that holds the TV has shattered into various sizes of glass all over the floor and even into another room.
The TV is located in the consumer’s room and was not powered in the on position when the failure occurred. The plastic bracket that is used to support the glass is still intact the consumer stated that she isn’t exactly sure how the glass broke.
The consumer indicated that her grandchildren normally sit just inches away from the TV and if they were sitting there when the incident occurred they could have seriously been injured.
She indicated that she plans to contact the retailer and the firm so that she could report the failure that she experienced with the TV stand.
