Made May 30, 2018, sent to the company Jun 7, 2018, published by CPSC Jun 21, 2018

The product, in the report: chromecast ultra a device made for sending video from you phone to your tv via various apps like youtube, netflix and hulu

I was awoken by my wife who told me that she had burned her hand when she stuck it behind the TV and she smelled fumes so I went to look behind the TV and the Chromecast Ultra had melted I called Google and they told me they would replace my device and when I tried to do it the link didn’t work so I called them back and they told me that my Yahoo address was not with Google so I could not log in to Google with my Yahoo address but they had sent me the link through my Yahoo address so they helped me send the link to a Gmail address which I tried to make work and I couldn’t make work so I called them and they led me through a bunch of Hoops which in the end I did not get my replacement and I was promised a call back within 24 to 48 hours which did not happen so I called back today which is 5 days later and they told me that they’re very sorry for what happened and they are going to take care of me and I would receive a call by the end of the day that didn’t happen my wife’s hand is burned she’s very hurt my device is destroyed and my infant son has been exposed to plastic fumes I don’t appreciate the way they have handled the situation I have went above and beyond to try to help them appreciate the time and effort I’m going through to let them remedy the situation but they do not call me back and they keep calling me Fergus and Luke instead of by my real name and they know my real name I feel like they think it’s a game, and they can just blow me off when they have done a real damage to my family and I feel like they don’t care because of the promises they have not fulfilled.
