The product, in the report: Cord ending from a Delta Electronics, Inc. AC Adapter Model EADP-32BB going into a Motorola cable box suddenly became overheated, sparked blue and melted. For use with Motorola DCX/DSR Products.
Cord from a Delta Electronics, Inc. AC Adapter Model EADP-32BB going into a Motorola cable box suddenly became overheated, sparked blue and melted. We’ve had the unit for quite a few years and is the same for our whole house DVR system by Spectrum (formally Time Warner Cable). I was able to pull the plug to stop power otherwise flames would have taken hold. Smell of burnt wiring and rubber was the sign that alerted me to the problem. The other 2 boxes are fine. Spectrum came out the next day and replaced with a different unit. I have pictures if needed.
