The product, in the report: Motorola - ATT&T U-verse cable box Serial# M91322EAL128
My AT&T Universal box (U-verse) which is the box for the cable is secured on an entertainment center in its own cubby with no other devices with it in the cubby. I was home alone with no tv on. While sitting on the couch a large flaming spark ignited from the box with a bopping sound. I quickly sprain into action and as nervous as I was, I released the back wires from the box. The room filled with an awful electronical burning smell from the box. I called the company (Frontier) right away. Not to pleased with their response. Frontier bought out AT & T and they choice to continue to use their product. I have 2 other boxes in the home and when I asked to have them replaced, I was left to have a technician come out with a cost associated with it. Very very poor customer service. I am concerned other boxes will do the same.
