The product, in the report: Laminator. Tan in color. 19.5 inches long. Made in China.
We own a Scotch Model TL1302 laminator. We came home one day to a burning smell and found the laminator had partially melted. It was plugged in at the time but was not turned on. We unplugged the laminator and have not used it since. This could have caused a fire.

During normal use of the laminator it must have got quite warm and I noticed later due to an e-mail that there was a recall so I looked so I checked to see if mine was on the list. And seen that the bottom of it was I indeed melted and malformed. No body was injured

The product, in the report: Scotch TL901C-T Thermal Laminator 2 roller system Fast warm up, quick laminating speed (white) has light green side edges $27.38 purchased June 24, 2017 from Amazon
Received the laminator, was able to make it work on a small number of items fed through the rollers. Within 2 weeks of using it on about the 3rd item, a letter size document, the rollers were so hot they burned the plastic to the rollers, wrapped the document and plastic around the roller rendering it useless.

First aid Made Apr 5, 2018, sent to the company Apr 13, 2018, published by CPSC Apr 27, 2018
The product, in the report: White Scotch thermal laminator with teal accents. Scotch is printed on the front of the laminator and the bottom is teal in color.
While using my Scotch Thermal Laminator, the plastic on the bottom would get real hot. I would have to turn it off until it cooled down and once it was cool, then I would continue my projects. I did receive a small burn on my finger.

No one hurt Made Apr 4, 2018, sent to the company Apr 12, 2018, published by CPSC Apr 26, 2018
The product, in the report: Scotch Laminator Model TL901C with teal accents.
I purchased two (2) of the Scotch Laminator Model TL901C on . On or about 11/1/2017, one of the laminators, Serial #15102308440 burned a Laminating project inside of the machine. I thought I had done something incorrectly and unscrewed the device to find the problem. The Laminating pouch was burned, melted, and stuck to the machine’s interior. I didn’t report it previously because I just assumed it was a bad purchase. I still have both laminators. I will submit the serial number and report for the second laminator when I return to work on April 9, 2018. Your company is offering refunds, but I would be content with comparable replacements.

No one hurt Made Apr 4, 2018, sent to the company Apr 12, 2018, published by CPSC Apr 26, 2018
The product, in the report: Scotch Thermal Laminator with two heat settings and teal accent color: TL901C-T
I have been using the TL901C-T Scotch Thermal Laminator (teal accent color) and it has overheated twice. Amazon notified me of the recall. I laminate approximately a total of 15 sheets of card stock, playing cards made from card stock, and regular pieces of paper once a week. The laminator has overheated twice to the point of the lamination getting stuck in the machine and it looking like an accordion-folded mess with black and brown burned edges. In fact, there is a strong odor of burned lamination every time I use this laminator.
