The product, in the report: Royal Paper Shredder MC14MX MicroCut Shredder
We own a Royal MC14MX paper shredder, which does a great job shredding paper BUT doesn’t seem to have a safety off if fingers get close to the opening where the paper is put in. On Saturday the 18th of August my 12 year old son got his 4 fingers pulled into the opening on the machine. He quickly turned off the machine and I unplugged it, my husband had to use giant (they type used on semi’s) screwdrivers to pry open the slot to get his hand out. Luckily there only appears to be bruising & cuts. I thought all paper shredders had an automatic safety off feature. We wouldn’t be using this shredder anymore.
