The product, in the report: Privacy Guard paper shredder
I was shredding documents in a Privacy Guard paper shredded when my left ring finger was sucked into the shredder up to the second knuckle. I immediately unplugged the machine. I applied oil aournd the finger to try to loosen the grip of the machine, and also try to pry the opening in the machine wider with a screw driver. Neither worked, so I called 911. The paramedics could not remove my finger either. They took me to the emergency room where my finger was numbed, and the doctor was able to pull my finger from the machine. My finger had almost no blood circulation when it was removed. The finger was not broken but the tip was cut in two places by the blade in the machine, and I needed two stitches. My finger was bandaged and placed in a splint.
