The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. First aid

Made Jul 28, 2025, sent to the company Jul 31, 2025, published by CPSC Aug 14, 2025

The product, in the report: The product is about the size of a small shoebox, mostly black with a gray handle on the top. It has four settings off, auto, forward, and reverse.

I am filing this report, because I owned a small paper shredder that exploded in between my legs, while using it. I sustained injuries on my inner legs, including most of the hair burnt off, and some patches of skin were burnt. While using the product, it was on and running, but not shredding any paper, and it without warning, exploded with fire, starting a small fire with the paper inside the container. The fire from the explosion, was where the burning of the hair and skin occurred.

The product, in the report: Bonsaii C149-C 18-sheet cross-cut paper shredder

I used a Bonsaii C149-C 18-sheet cross-cut paper shredder to shred a single compact disc, and it yielded a big piece of sharp triangular shard.
