  1. No one hurt

Made Jan 6, 2026, sent to the company Jan 9, 2026, published by CPSC Jan 28, 2026

The product, in the report: JC200 wireless game pad. Wireless controller for [REDACTED] [REDACTED] with ergonomic design. Edition: lightening pattern. Sold by BEBONCOOL but fulfilled by Walmart.

I am writing regarding an order I placed on November 30, 2025 for a Wireless Controller for [REDACTED] Lightning Pattern Edition, which was sold by BEBONCOOL Official Store and fulfilled by Walmart. I purchased this item as a gift for my son. On January 5th, 2026, he was charging the controller in my car using the included charging cable. While it was plugged into the controller, the charger began overheating and then started melting and smoking at the point where the cable plugs into the controller. The connection produced visible melted plastic and smoke, creating an immediate fire hazard. We had to unplug it quickly due to the danger. The controller and cable are now clearly damaged and unsafe to use. This appears to be a manufacturing defect in the products charging port or the supplied cable. A game controller accessory should never become hot enough to melt its own charger. I have stopped using the item entirely and have kept the melted cable and controller as evidence. I can provide photos of the damage if needed. Because this incident involved smoke and melting components, I am requesting that this be logged and escalated as a product safety issue. If this had happened in my son’s room over night, we would have never known until it was too late.
