  1. No one hurt

Made Jun 10, 2025, sent to the company Jun 13, 2025, published by CPSC Jun 30, 2025

The product, in the report: Temdan for [REDACTED] Watch Charger,3 in 2 USB C Cable for [REDACTED] Charger/Type C/[REDACTED],Multi Charging Cable Cord,Portable Travel Essentials Designed for [REDACTED] &[REDACTED]16-12-4FT

Dear CPSC, I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to file a serious safety complaint regarding an [REDACTED] Watch charger (ASIN: B0DHYJ9CGH) purchased through Amazon. The product has presented significant fire hazards, as evidenced by overheating and visible burn marks that occurred while using the product. Details of the Issue: What Happened? After using the charger to power my [REDACTED] Watch, the product began to overheat and emit smoke. The charging cable became extremely hot, and I noticed a burning smell. Upon further inspection, I observed significant burn marks on the charger itself, as shown in the attached images. The USB-C connector exhibited visible signs of damage, including darkened, burned areas that suggest the potential for an electrical short circuit or fire hazard. The product was in perfect working condition before use, and no signs of damage were visible before the incident.

What type of product(s) were being used? The product is a USB-C to [REDACTED] Watch charger intended for use with [REDACTED] Watch.

Who was using the product(s)? I was using the charger to charge my [REDACTED] Watch [REDACTED].

How were the product(s) being used? The charger was plugged into a USB-C wall adapter that provides the industry-standard voltage for [REDACTED] Watch charging.

Were there any injuries that happened or may have happened while using the product? Fortunately, no injuries occurred, but the overheating charger posed a significant fire risk, and had it been left unattended, it could have caused burns or even a fire. The visible burn marks on the charger are clear evidence of a serious safety hazard.

How did any injuries occur? Although there were no injuries, the overheating charger clearly had the potential to cause damage to property or injury. The damage to the charger itself is a serious indication of electrical failure, and there is a significant risk of future incidents if the product continues to be sold. Given the severity of the safety hazards associated with this product, I strongly urge the CPSC to initiate an investigation into its safety and require Amazon to immediately remove this product from their marketplace. I am deeply concerned that continued sales of this charger could result in severe harm to consumers or cause property damage. For the safety of the public, I believe prompt action is essential.
