The product, in the report: Smart fitness ring
I received a RingConn smart ring as a gift. During normal use, the device overheated and became extremely hot, causing a burn to my finger. I stopped using the device immediately.
I contacted RingConn customer support and provided the serial number of the ring. Despite reporting an injury and a safety defect, the company refused to assist or provide a replacement unless I could provide proof of purchase, which is unavailable because the product was a gift.
This appears to be a serious safety defect in a wearable electronic device that poses a risk of burns or injury to consumers.
