The product, in the report: foldable stand for a computer tablet
10/31/2023: The product holds a tablet in place and is supposed to be held in the lap or propped on the stomach, while lying down. However, there is a razor-sharp edge on part of the stand.
The consumer was on the sofa and the stand was on a bench in front of the sofa. When she stood up, she accidentally bumped the stand and when it fell, it sliced a chunk of skin off her left leg, below the knee and above the ankle. The consumer visited a doctor for her injury. She’s scheduled for an additional visit to a wound clinic. She was diagnosed with a laceration wound.
There are very sharp plastic edges on the area, where the stand’s hinges are located. Furthermore, the consumer saw that the product was advertised for small children to use, and she is extremely concerned that a child could be severely injured from this product.
