No one hurt Made Mar 9, 2019, sent to the company Mar 18, 2019, published by CPSC Apr 1, 2019
The product, in the report: It is a wifi extender that just plugs into a wall outlet. It’s about 3 inches by 3 inches or a white square with rounded corners.
The wifi extender caught on fire. It was working for fine for one month. After that it constantly connected and disconnected from the router. It caught fire today while being plugged into the wall outlet by itself in the hallway. The product did not last 7 months. Luckily my ten year old son saw it and unplugged it before it spread. This should not happen for $59.99.

No one hurt Made Dec 27, 2011, sent to the company Jan 4, 2012, published by CPSC Jan 19, 2012
The product, in the report: Wireless-N 150 USB Adapter
My parents had a Netgear Wireless-N 150 USB adapter. S/N 272106BS1C6BE. Somtime during the day on December 26, 2011, the device had heated up and melted some of the plastic covering on both sides near the USB adapter port. Contacted Netgear customer support regarding the device melting and I was advised it was out of warranty. I wanted to notify them of the incident. I had no intention of asking for a replacement wireless adapter. The customer service representative did not appear concerned.
