The product, in the report: WD’s My Book Live personal cloud storage provides shared storage on your home network that can be accessed wirelessly within and outside the home. Share files with Mac computers and PCs, stream media to your entertainment center, and access your files remotely with the WD 2go app and website.
My Western Digital My Book Live electrical power adapter/cord melted. I have been using this device to back up my files/photos. It is connected 24/7 to my home network and it is plugged into Uninterruptible Power Supply. After coming from vacation over the weekend, tried to access the drive to back-up photos I have taken, I noticed that I can no longer access the drive/device. Upon further investigation yesterday (August 4, 2022), I noticed that the power cord connected to the device had melted. This is a fire hazard. I’m very fortunate that this issue did not cause any damage aside from the device itself, things could have been worst!
