The product, in the report: MoKo(TM) Cover Case for [REDACTED] (6” High Resolution Display with Built-in Light), BLACK (with Auto Sleep/Wake) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0062IPIPQ/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i01
I purchased a [REDACTED] [REDACTED] Leather Case from Amazon.com which was delivered today. The item arrived with an overwhelming smell of some type of fuel/solvent.
When I pulled it out of the wrapping, the leather was not wet but nonetheless whatever is causing this smell also transfered to my fingers and hands immediately. The smell was overpowering and within moments caused my eyes to water and my throat to become sore.
I’m rather concerned about carcinogens on this item. Whatever solvents were used are still on the product and it could be very damaging, particularly to a child or pregnant women.
Here is a link to the item being sold on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0062IPIPQ/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i01
It came direct from Amazon’s warehouse and not from the seller. I know this because I purchased other items at the same time and all were shipping in the same box.
