The product, in the report: Dual USB charger
Macally DualUSB charger.
A/C plug separates from charger when unplugging from the wall outlet. This leaves the prongs still in the live A/C outlet. This poses a shock hazard.
I purchased 4 of these last November, two of which have failed. Also, the manufacturer not only disavows all knowledge of this, they also tell me that this product was sold to the vendor at a lower price without any warranty.
I am not the only person experiencing this issue -- see the following product reviews:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16855996646&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&PageSize=10&SelectedRating=-1&VideoOnlyMark=False&IsFeedbackTab=true#scrollFullInfo
This is an unsafe product which poses a shock hazard since most peoples’ first reaction would be to pull the stuck portion out of the A/C outlet without shutting the breaker off.
