The product, in the report: KLU tablet by CURTIS INTERNATIONAL Model# LT7033D Serial # 1301909002151
I purchased a Curtis tablet Model#LT7033D from HHGREGG on 01/21/2013 . On 08/20/2014 I noticed that the back had came loose on one end, I pushed it back together and continued using it. Later on I had my 2 year old grandson on my lap with the tablet. When suddenly the back made a banging sound and the entire back came off, and the battery pack, behind the back cover had expanded to about a 1inch thick pad, it expanded so quickly that the speaker wires became unattached from the tablet. I was just lucky enough that the battery did not bust open when this happened with my grandson on my lap. The tablet was not being charged at the time and had not been charged any time from the first time that the back came loose.
