The product, in the report: Just Wireless 4’ TPU Type-C to USB-A Cable (Black). Purchased from Target (UPC: 705954051640).
Went to go use my Just Wireless 4’ TPU Type-C to USB-A Cable, of which the Type A end was plugged into a desk lamp. I found the Type C end, which wasn’t plugged into any products and was just hanging down from my desk onto my carpet, to be melted into the carpet when I reached for it. In order to free the cable, I had to cut it out of my carpet at which point I realized that the Type C end had melted despite not being plugged into anything. This poses a fire risk and I consider myself lucky that the only damage was to the cable and a tiny quarter-sized patch of carpet that I had to cut it out of/that it melted slightly.
