The product, in the report: JBL - Go 4 Portable Bluetooth Speaker - 2024 - Black. Purchased through Bestbuy date unknown but either late 2024 or early 2025.
I plugged in a JBL - Go 4 Portable Bluetooth Speaker using a [REDACTED] USB C Cable to charge the speaker. After approx. 15 minutes, I noticed that the charging light on the JBL speaker wasn’t lit. I picked up the speaker and when I grabbed the [REDACTED] USB-C connecter to try to re-plug it, the connector was so hot that it burned my thumb. I promptly pulled the cable out of the wall socket and then removed it from the JBL speaker. The speaker USB-C charge point and power cable plug are damaged showing burn marks. I don’t know it the problem is with the [REDACTED] USB power cable or the JBL speaker. Yes, my thumb was burned but not worse than a first-degree burn.
