The product, in the report: Guitar Hero Xbox 360 World Tour Band Bundle - Drum Set Kick Pedal Cord
We ordered a new XBOX 360 Guitar Hero World Tour Band Bundle from Amazon on April 29, 2011. We gave it to our son on his b-day, [REDACTED]. The items were new (or looked new) when we opened the box. The cord to the kick pedal on the drum set, was falling apart. The rubber (or plastic) that surrounds the wire that comes out of the kick pedal and plugs into the drum unit, is falling apart in small pieces. The rubber feels sticky or tacky. I can no longer let them play with this as the wire is exposed in 1/4 segments in 7 or 8 places the full length of the cord. We wrote to Activsion but have not received any response to the problem. Not sure if this is a global issue with the company (China) that made the cord or just an isolated case. I would be concerned that a child would get shocked by the exposed cord and/or find the piece and a younger child, put them in their mouth. Also, not sure but a oily type residue on any type of rubber doesn’t seem like a good thing for a child to touch.
