The product, in the report: Fujitsu laptop that have been refurbished. We owned it for five years

Our Fujitsu laptop computer was sitting on top of some books in a corner of our dining room, when I heard a loud pop. I looked over to see smoke and and almost immediate flames protruding from the unit. It caught the books on which it was resting on fire. I waited a few minutes before unplugging the unit, and then I carried it outside to a doorstep. Within two to three minutes I heard another loud pop, and when I rushed to the computer outside, I found it in Flames again. When I check back in a few more minutes, I found the coconut liner of my planter was smoldering. After the scare was over, the following day, we finally remove the unit to find a permanent black Char on the pavement below.

The product, in the report: Fujitsu N-6010 Lifebook laptop

I have a Fujitsu N-Series Lifebook Laptop that I have never been able to use as a laptop. Even after a short amount of time, the battery gets very hot, to a point of burning. My 6 year old daughter does her homework on the same laptop and she had attempted to pull the laptop closer to her and had to grip the front lower bottom of it to do so. That’s exactly where the battery is at. She received some minor burns on her fingertips, but nothing major. I believe this is a pretty big concern due to people that like to use a laptop on their laps. I would just like the company to be aware of the situation and maybe be able to resolve it. The laptop is an older model, but it has had this issue since day 1. I didn’t feel that it was anything major until my daughter received the burns.
