The product, in the report: Nelsonic LED Clock Radio, Black
Nelsonic LED Clock Radio, Black Model NLC601A Purchased from Walmart on 08/02/2012
I purchased 2 of these units. They feel very warm to the tough and one of them melted the plastic base to my wooden dresser. They were on a wood surface with no paper or material under the radio to block ventilation. There was a strong smell of hot electrical in the room. There was some visual damage to the wooden dresser; the plastic vent louvers on the bottom left (beside the battery door) were melted and distorted. The clock radio was being operated on electric wall outlet, not on battery power.
