The product, in the report: Baby Monitor by Levana ... it is the Levana Babyview20 Back of the baby monitor: Levana Babyview20R Color Baby Monitor, TTD-61R FCC ID - O6LTTD-61R IC:4593A-TTD61R On the battery panel, the number on a barcode sticker is 100503194.
We own a Levana Babyview20 Baby Monitor that has stopped working. We were online looking for a replacement monitor when we came across this link where another parent had posted her concern here with something that had happened to us too.
The plastic lid that goes over the monitor’s antenna is very flimsy and keeps falling off. We also, like the other mother, found it in our baby’s mouth one day, about 3 months back. And now, the monitor has just stopped working.
This is a serious choking hazard, and we think this product must be recalled for the safety of all babies out there who’re being monitored through this product. We are looking for a new baby monitor as we write this. Levana has brought out a newer model with the solid single piece antenna cover that may not come out, but we aren’t considering Levana because of our prior experience and we feel betrayed and at the same time lucky that our baby didn’t choke on the older model.
We just thought we would write a report too, so people like us and the other parent who might have gone through the same crazy situation would get some relief if it were recalled.
