Made Nov 25, 2013, sent to the company Dec 4, 2013, published by CPSC Dec 18, 2013

The product, in the report: Angelcare 401 baby monitor

Angelcare monitor 401 was being used for my 6 month old baby. I went and checked on her and she had pulled the cord into her cot, she was playing with it but if i hadn’t of checked on her it may have been much worse. The cord was slack so for future use I put some heavy books on it. This happened when we were away at my parents house. It happened to my husband at home too about 2 weeks later.

I didn’t think to report it but should have and the recall has prompted me to do so.

Made Nov 23, 2013, sent to the company Dec 3, 2013, published by CPSC Dec 17, 2013

The product, in the report: Angelcare sound and movement monitor

Approximately 4 years ago my son was taken via ambulance to hospital after strangling himself in his sleep with his monitor cord he was completely blue and limp not breathing and was revived after CPR was performed by his father, the hospital informed us that they would contact anglecare and to this date I have not heard from them in regards to changes made to the safety of the monitor. I am extremely angry to hear that there have been further incidents with this monitor which have now resulted in 2 deaths. This should not have happened and I would like answers as to why nothing has been done to prevent this tragedy. Pleas contact me in redars to this matter on [REDACTED]. Thank you

    Yours Sincerely
