The product, in the report: touch screen android smart phone

The consumer states that while driving her vehicle she received a call on her mobile phone. She answered the call talking on her left ear. While on the call for 10 minutes she noticed her face began to burn.

When the consumer arrived home she looked into the mirror and noticed her cheek (on the left side) was bright red and sore to the touch.

The consumer drove herself to Vaughn Regional Hospital in Selma Al. where she was treated in the Emergency Room. The consumer was treated for First Degree Burns to the left cheek and prescribed medication, then released.

The consumer states that she had charged the phone earlier in the day for only 15 minutes. When the incident occurred the phone did not overheat and was not hot to the touch.

The consumer went to the emergency room on 3/30/2012 and was advised to follow up with her Primary Care Physician. The consumer has a follow up appointment on 4/3/2012.

The consumer contacted the retailer and was advised that they would replace the phone with the same model. The consumer states that she declined and was advised to use the mobile device on speaker when talking.

The consumer states that she has contacted an attorney for the matter (no information on the attorney was provided). She has not and will not contact the firm because her attorney advised her not to.

The consumer currently still uses the phone on speaker phone only.
