  1. No one hurt

Made Dec 30, 2016, sent to the company Jan 13, 2017, published by CPSC Jan 31, 2017

The product, in the report: Uniden PowerMAX5.8GHz hand held telephone receiver rests in a charging cradle as do three other satellite phones that communicate with the master phone station. Gray plastic case. Phone model TRU9488-3 828E0906W AW90031165

My several-year-old Uniden LANDLINE phone (PowerMAX5. 8GHz), sitting in its charging cradle had a column of smoke rising from it when I came home and first saw it. The outer plastic case was melted in two places and hot to the touch. I can only assume that had I not come home to detach it, it might have burst into flames and ignited a fire.
