The product, in the report: Soundlogic 2600mAh Executive Leatherette Power Bank Blue Staple item # 1694123

I was using this to keep my phone charged and felt it getting hot. I unplugged the charger and placed it in my pocket. A few minutes later, while in the University of Detroit Dental School’s Orthodontic Clinic, I felt it getting warmer and removed it from my pocket. The middle section of the cell was extremely hot and had expanded from 1/4 inch to well over an inch thick. Within a half a minute the unit began to smoke heavily and then blew open filling the clinic with an acrid smell. I quickly went to a sink, turned on the water and dropped it into the sink. About 15 seconds later I picked it up and since it was still very warm, I held it under the running water. I then placed it in a zip lock bag. Two of these were bought from Staples and my account was credited early this morning informing me to dispose of these power cells. So I have 1 intact and the other in an exploded form in a zip lock. I would like to be given instructions on how to send these in for proper inspection. These were bought less than 2 months ago during which time I traveled from Detroit to Ft Lauderdale with Delta Airlines with these batteries.

The product, in the report: Model: Sound Logic BB26245722 / BB26-24/5722 / BB26-24/5722 Universal Battery Pack (Black)

My 12 year son won this product at an educational event. It was charging overnight on our dresser in our bedroom. It exploded and caught fire at 3:30 AM tonight, burning 2 significant holes in our bedroom carpet and leaving a stench that will take a long time to go away. Do not buy this product that is made by SoundLogic in India and seems to be imported by this group.
