No one hurt Made Aug 29, 2013, sent to the company Sep 9, 2013, published by CPSC Sep 23, 2013
The product, in the report: Rocketfish (brand name) mobile phone charger. Model RF-MCB90
I woke up this morning and I could smell something burning. I assumed my roommate had done something dumb at first and ignored it, but the smell continued to get worse. I decided to investigate the rest of the house and realized the smell was coming from my own bedroom. I went back in my bedroom and tracked the smell down to my phone charger. The charger was plugged in, but the phone was not connected. I picked up the cord and looked at the part of the the charger that connects to the phone and it was melting. I touched it and it was really hot. I unplugged the charger from the wall and let my roommate know what happened, since he owns the house.
