My AT&T 3G Cisco microcell burned on the back of the unit where the power cord inserts. It got so hot that the power cord melted and can’t be disconnected from the unit. We were away when this happened, but when we arrived home we could smell a strong odor of burned wire.

No one hurt Made Aug 8, 2012, sent to the company Aug 23, 2012, published by CPSC Sep 7, 2012
The product, in the report: AT&T TELEPHONE/ANSWERING SYSTEM WITH CALLER ID/CALL WAITING SL82658 (SIX HANDSETS)
I purchased an AT&T cordless telephone answering system on 2/27/2009 at BJs Wholesale CLub in Voorhees, NJ for $129.99 Over time we noticed that the handsets get very hot - sometimes too hot to handle. We were afraid of fire. I contacted AT&T and was told the handsets should be warm but not hot and that the mondel is discontinued and we should buy a new system.
It seems to me this product should be on the recall list
