The product, in the report: AT&T Go Phone LGB470 SKU:6444A Lithium Ion Battery.
I purchased an AT&T GoPhone LGB470 (SKU:6444A) flip phone from BEST BUY on Sept 8, 2017. Tonight Sept 18th my phone started beeping an alert saying the battery was hot and that I needed to power OFF the phone immediately. However the phone was so HOT it burned my fingers and dropped it on the floor. I grabbed a hot pad and picked it up and put it in my freezer. I waited for 30 minutes to power it off. I contacted AT&T but they were not aware of any fires or over heating problems with the phones. These phones have the SAME Lithium Ion batteries that have caused FIRES in other phones. My concern is if people with these phones take them on an airplane, a fire could cause major problems, especially if it is put in the luggage. I was told by AT&T to take it back to BEST BUY and get another phone (I guess the same model) she didn’t clarify. I think you guys need to RECALL this phone IMMEDIATELY to save lives and notify the Airline Companies to IMMEDIATELY BAN these phones or ALL phones that use a LITHIUM ION BATTERY!!!
