The product, in the report: Micro CD player with DVD
When I first open the box and put everything together, I place a CD in it to test it. It would not recognize the CD. I tried to take it out and it would not open. I unplugged it and plugged it back in. The screen went haywire, showing mixes symbols. I tried unpluggging and plugging it back int, same thing happend. It still would not open and $15.00 CD was stuck inside. I tried the radio and cassette player nothing. I left the room to call a friend to see if he knew how to open it without damaging it to get my CD out. When I came back, I smelled electrical burning. I rushed to unplug it, it was hot. I let cool, and plugged it back in, it went haywire again for a few min then it worked and started playing the cd. I tested everything again and it worked. Next day came home went in to the bedroom where I keep it and it was on. Turned it off. That night while sleeping it turned on by itself. Next day came home, smelled the electrical burning smell and it was on again. I removed my CD, unplugged and put it back in the box. Because this was a close out sale, I couldn’t take it back. So I contacted the company in December 2011for the warranty hoping they would replace it. No reply to my online submission. Tried again February 2012, [REDACTED] replied and said they could do nothing. Ia asked how about the warranty, no reply. I filed a BBB complaint, the company never replied to BBB. The unit is cheaply made, worse than anything I’ve ever seen and could cause a fire.
