The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. No one hurt

Made Oct 10, 2023, sent to the company Oct 17, 2023, published by CPSC Oct 31, 2023

The product, in the report: TOZO T10 [REDACTED] 5.0 Wireless Earbuds with Wireless Charging Case IPX8 Waterproof

15 year old daughter plugged Tozo T10 Wireless earbuds to charge. Woke up to a burning plastic smell, unplugged charging cable, and found the charging cable was bulging at the end and was fused to the earbud case. The case was too hot to touch and had to wait for it to cool down so I could cut the plastic of the charging cable to free it from the case, and found the inside of the case was warped and had a burnt color to the metal components, and the charging cable was discolored from the intense heat. If she hadn’t discovered it in time, it was hot enough to cause a fire. I have reached out to Tozo and they have shown little to no concern about the incident, investigating the cause, or preventing it from happening to someone else.

The product, in the report: Tozo T5 wireless bluetooth headphones.

I was wirelessly charging my Tozo T5 Wireless headphones on a wireless charging pad. I have used this pad many times with my phone and had no issues with it. I returned after several hours and smelled burning plastic. I discovered the charging box that the headsets were in had melted to my wireless charger, destroying both of them. They were extremely hot and I was able to remove them from the residence before they caught fire.
