The product, in the report: Positive Grid Spark 40 guitar amplifier
This complaint involves manufacturer Positive Grid and the Spark 40 guitar amplifier. New Unit. First use of the unit noticed a distinct humm and noted the external 19VDC power supply was a 2 wire UN grounded unit. Upon plugging in the guitar, received a shock from the guitar strings. This was experienced on 2 similar guitars and only on this amplifier. I have 3 other amplifiers and have been playing guitar 50 years and never experienced a shock from a guitar plugged into an amp. Among the thousands of registered Spark 40 group [REDACTED] users, hundreds have complained about this very problem to the customer support. Some have received new, grounded, power supplies, while others, like me, have received nothing but canned questionnaires requesting I make videos and answer all sorts of questions as if I were a Beta tester or guinea pig. I have no inclination to be electrocuted again.
