Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.
Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Shokz OpenFit Open-Ear True Wireless Earbuds, Black
On or about September 25, 2026, during normal use, I discovered that one earpiece of my Shokz OpenFit Open-Ear True Wireless Earbuds (Black) had a swollen battery that was leaking liquid (battery electrolyte). I stopped using the earbuds immediately. The unit has not been used or charged since. No fire occurred, no personal injury was sustained, and no property damage is known. A swollen, leaking lithium battery poses a fire and chemical-exposure risk. Note on timeline: the original unit was purchased November 9, 2023, from shokz.com (Order #[REDACTED], $179.95 before tax). The unit that failed is the warranty replacement unit Shokz sent around mid-November 2025 under warranty claim [REDACTED] (the original unit’s charging case had failed), not the original 2023 unit.
