The product, in the report: Nothing Ear (Open) ultra-light open earbuds feature an ergonomic open ear hook design with a 50-degree tilt, a three-point balance, and skin-friendly silicone for all-day comfort and a secure fit. Please distinguish between left and right, and adjust the position of the earbuds into the ear according to the shape of your ear after wearing to bring you a better and more comfortable listening experience.

While using a Nothing open ear wireless earbud during normal listening at my desk, the device experienced a catastrophic failure. It emitted an extremely loud explosive sound comparable to a gunshot and forcefully dislodged from my ear. The sound was loud enough to be heard by others in my home. I was using the product as intended via [REDACTED] audio. There had been no damage misuse or modification. Immediately after the incident I experienced ear pain ringing and hearing disturbance. The manufacturer support team instructed me to seek medical attention. I was evaluated by an ENT specialist and incurred a 300.79 medical bill. I continue to experience ringing and may require additional follow up care. The failed earbud was returned to the manufacturer for technical analysis. They stated they would provide a written report of their findings but have not done so.
