The product, in the report: JBL Clip 4 portable wireless bluetooth speaker
JBL clip exploded today while in the office. It was like a smoke bomb went off. It was not plugged in and functioning normally (in fact, it was playing music), and out of nowhere a large explosion occurred. My clothes, office, and entire office complex smelled of burnt rubber and batteries. Several employees complained of headaches and everyone was sent home early. It was a harrowing experience and lucky that no one was seriously injured in the explosion.

The product, in the report: Black JBL Flip 3 [REDACTED] speaker.
My JBL Flip 3 [REDACTED] Speaker started hissing and then sparks (which resembled fireworks) flew out of it. It was charging and playing music at the time. I was eating dinner with a friend. The speaker burst into flames and my home was filled with thick white acrid toxic smoke. The fire was extinguished with a wet dishtowel. I’m experiencing difficulty breathing and a sore throat. My friend has a terrible headache. I have seen multiple accounts of this speaker combusting dangerously on this website, with the same stock response from the vendor about it meeting safety requirements. This is concerning as it is evidently a known and dangerous malfunction.
