The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

Made Jan 21, 2022, sent to the company Feb 10, 2022, published by CPSC Feb 25, 2022

The product, in the report: wired earbuds

The consumer used the ear buds for approximately 15 minutes, when she realized that she sustained 3 electric shocks, while wearing them.

The consumer was in bed, so she’s not sure if she was shocked near her ear or from the electric cord touching her body. The ear buds were plugged into a cell phone at the time.

She experienced a headache for a short period, but did not need any medical treatment. She never had any prior problems with the earbuds in the past.

1/18/2022: The consumer sent the firm an email (info@esi-audio.com) to report the problem to them. So far, she has not received a response, but is waiting for one from them.
