The product, in the report: Belkin soundform mini headphones
My daughter wanted headphones to use with her [REDACTED]. Shes 4 years 7 months old. My husband ordered them on June 7th from Woot/amazon and they came in the mail. They were Belkin Soundform Mini headphones. My daughter has used them for less than a week. Tonight she was using them with her [REDACTED]. She went to move them on her head - grabbed them by the ear pieces to move them, and her right pinky finger got stuck in between the ear and headband pieces. She was screaming - I couldnt even figure out why at first and then I realized her finger was stuck. She has a blister on her right pinky finger, and has been crying about it for almost an hour. I have ice and a [REDACTED] on it. Shes probably going to be fine. But a product marketed for children should never hurt a child.
I contacted Belkin customer service and they told me that this product wasnt for children under 13. However, it says specifically on their website for this product that the product is recommended for children 3 and up. Theyre not safe. No parent should have to worry about pinched fingers, and the meltdowns that ensues after pinched fingers, when a product is marketed for ages three and up. These headphones wouldnt even fit a 13 year old.
