The product, in the report: Information from Powerbeats website: Model Model A2048 UPC 190199096998 Powerbeats Pro earphones: Height: 2.2 in / 5.6 cm Weight: 0.71 oz / 20.3 g Form factor: In ear Power: Rechargeable lithium-ion Powerbeats Pro case: Height: 3.04 in / 7.7 cm Power: Rechargeable lithium-ion
I have been using Powerbeats Pro for the past month and have recently developed what I think is contact dermatitis where the earphones were in contact with my ear canal and behind my ear. I have since stopped using them and used cortisone cream to help clear up the irritation. I [REDACTED] this issue to see if I was the only one, or if there were something I did that caused this to happen. I came across two threads, one from Apple forums and one from Reddit. Both threads report similar issues with the earphones, with some consumers having already contacted Apple. Below are the links to the threads:

Powerbeats has information on how to clean the earphones. Even after doing this, the problem comes back. Below is the link from Powerbeats.
[REDACTED].
One person on [REDACTED] basically had to completely modify their earphones in order for them not to cause this irritation. It involved changing out the earbud pieces and wrapping the rest with [REDACTED]. Here is the link for that comment:

I don’t know if all of the people on these forums, including myself, just have an allergy to this product, or if there is a bigger problem with the coating or silicone used. I also don’t know if anyone else has contact the CPSC regarding this problem, but I thought that I would do so since I am obviously not the only one experiencing this problem with the Powerbeats Pro. Below is the the complete information for the product, just in case it is not on any other part of the form (just like to be sure).

No one hurt Made Apr 3, 2019, sent to the company Apr 11, 2019, published by CPSC Apr 25, 2019
The product, in the report: beats by dr. dre powerbeats3 wireless headphones
This report is for beats by Dr. Dre powerbeats3 wireless headphones. While charging the headphones, the charging wire came into contact with the actual headsets and caught on fire.
Once I extinguished the fire, I could feel that the charging wire was very warm to the touch.
I was lucky that I was in the room at the time and was able to quickly put out the flame. If I had not been there at the moment, my house could have burnt down as the headsets were charging on a dresser in a back room.
