The product, in the report: Wireless, blue tooth earbuds
I purchased Aero Sport “True Wireless Earbuds” from Five and Below in Willow Grove,PA on Friday, October 4th.
We got home and plugged the new air buds in to charge (connecting the ear buds and wire and then hooking into the power source). Approx 10 mins after we plugged these in -- I started to smell smoke. I looked around and I immediately saw the bright orange embers on the wire and quickly tried to disengage the wire from the power source —- burning my fingers in the process :(. I just remember thinking - holy crap, there’s smoke!
We have a small charging station - with mail and general household desk stuff on it, directly at the bottom of my stairs. I was immediately aware of what an enormous catastrophe I had averted at my home with my family, had we gone upstairs and gotten focused on getting ready for bed and I missed that wire burning, with all of that paper near by. The situation could have ended very differently that night...
I wanted to share this story with you so that you can immediately action -- hoping that you pull these from shelves and issue the appropriate warning to customers. I’ve also not returned these yet so if there is somewhere I should send them or another follow up action, pls let me know at soonest.
